iRetouch Lite Effects How-to
- Tags:
iRetouch Lite is a free photo editor with basic and touch-up tools for iPhone/iPod Touch.
Here is how to make some interesting effects with iRetouch: Selective colorization, "Joker face", Blemish removal.
a) BLEMISH REMOVAL with Clone Stamp:
- Select Clone Stamp.
- Double tap a nearby skin area (a circle with a cross will appear)
- Now touch and move over a blemish.
Experiment with different opacity and hardness values.
b) “JOKER FACE”:
- Open a photo, select Brighten tool, set Effect/Opacity to 100%.
- Paint over a person's face.
- Use eraser over eyes and mouth.
- Optionally, add some red paint around the mouth :)
- Save and e-mail to your friends ;)
c ) SELECTIVE COLORIZATION
- Select Black&White tool,
- Select type of brush - “Entire Image”
- Touch your photo.
- Now use eraser!
Use the same technique to create amazing effects:
Fill entire image (select Pencil, 'Entire image', color - blue, blend mode - normal, Effect 50%, touch an image) and try using Eraser with a shape (press Heart stamp then select Eraser).
2) Smudge tool is for blurring objects and moving them around. Try Smudge tool with different opacity and hardness values.
For example, set hardness to 100% and you will be able to move objects without blurring them.
3) Pencil, Brush and Stamps work with different colors and blend modes. You can change them in Settings.
4) Eraser removes "upper" layer (layer with effects).
To undo all changes - select “Entire Image”, Eraser, touch an image - the whole effects layer will be erased.
Saving your photo flattens the image - it will merge lower layer (original photo) and the upper layer (effects).
If you save and then reopen an image you will start with a new layer for effects.
5) In 'Settings->Canvas Size' you can select the following sizes:
- 640x480 - for better image overview
- 800x600 - a standard e-mail attachment size
- 1024x768 - for editing small details
